Short term visa (Maximum stay of 90 days)
OverviewOur website contains information for citizens of the Republic of Belarus and foreign nationals permanently residing in the Republic of Belarus who wish to apply for a visa to visit Spain. Dear applicants, please note that the submission of documents to the visa centers of the Kingdom of Spain is conducted based on territorial division. Citizens of the Republic of Belarus fall under the consular jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow. Any citizen permanently residing in the consular jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow who wishes to obtain a transit or short-term visa (stay of no more than 90 days within a 180-day period) may apply by appointment at the Spain Visa Application Center in Minsk, Moscow, or by appointment directly at the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow. Citizens residing in the regions of Leningrad, Pskov, Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Murmansk, and the Republic of Karelia do NOT belong to the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow. Citizens of these regions must apply for a visa at the Spain Visa Application Center in Saint Petersburg. Visa applications from these citizens will not be accepted at other visa centers. Belonging to the Northwestern Consular District can be confirmed by registration at the place of residence or a certificate from the place of work. If an applicant is registered but does not actually reside in the Northwestern Consular District, as confirmed by registration and a certificate from the place of work, they must apply to the Visa Application Center serving the region of their actual residence. If you need to obtain a short-term visa (up to 90 days stay) for Spain, please carefully read the information on this website. By following the instructions precisely, your document submission process will be correct, thereby reducing the risk of your application being rejected due to incorrect or erroneous documentation. A visa application can be prepared WITHOUT prior consultation. A visa application must be submitted no earlier than 6 months before the intended trip (seafarers can submit documents 9 months before the start of the trip). Note that the visa application must be submitted at least 6 weeks before the date of travel to Spain. The processing time for documents and decision-making by the Consulate General of Spain is 60 days from the receipt of documents at the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow. This period may be extended if the Consulate requests additional documents. Note that the processing period at the Consulate does not include the time required for sending documents from Belarus to Moscow and back. Each visa application is considered on an individual basis, and the decision time may vary depending on the completeness and compliance of the submitted documents with the Consulate's requirements. The Consulate General of Spain reserves the right to request any additional documents and/or information, even if your document package initially met the requirements. INFORMATION FOR VISA RECIPIENTS The visa center is not authorized to open envelopes containing passports received from the Consulate General. You are issued a visa to enter the territory of the Schengen Agreement states. Upon receiving a short-term visa, please verify the correctness of all the data specified on it. Please verify the following:
Please do this independently to avoid problems and additional expenses when using the visa. If you believe that the visa information is incorrect, immediately report it to the consulate or embassy for correction. What the terms on the visa mean "DURATION OF STAY … DAYS" — this field indicates the number of days you are allowed to stay in the Schengen area. The days are counted from the date of entry into the Schengen area (according to the entry stamp) until the date of exit from the Schengen area (by the exit stamp), including the first and last day. The period specified in the "FROM… UNTIL" field is usually longer than the period in the "DURATION OF STAY" field. It is assumed that due to this difference in days, you can more flexibly plan your entry and exit from the Schengen area; however, your stay in the Schengen area must not exceed the exact number of days in the "DURATION OF STAY … DAYS" field. Regardless of how many days you stay in the Schengen area, you must leave no later than the date specified in the "UNTIL" field. Recommendations A short-term visa allows you to travel to the Kingdom of Spain and, generally, to other Schengen countries, but it does not automatically grant you the right to enter the Schengen area. At the border or at other control points, you may be required to present certain information. For example, you might be asked about your means of transport, planned duration of stay in Spain, and purpose of visit to Spain. In some cases, visa holders may be denied entry into Spain or the Schengen area based on the outcome of these checks. Therefore, it is recommended to carry copies of the documents submitted with your visa application (such as invitation letters, booking confirmations, and other documents confirming the purpose of the visit). ATTENTION! Comply with the duration of stay permitted by your visa. Violation of visa rules and overstaying can lead to deportation and denial of new visas for a certain period.
