As per the instruction received from Embassy of Spain in Russia, henceforth all the applications will be submitted in their respective jurisdiction only. Any request to change the jurisdiction needs to be pre-approved by the local Mission.

The deadline for submitting a visa application is extended to 6 months instead of 3 months. In case of Seafarers they may be presented with a maximum advance of 9 months.

From 11th June 2024 the EU Directive 2019/1155 of European Parliament and Council of Europe comes into effect, modifying the Directive CE 810/2009 which establishes Common Visa Code.

The visa application must be made not earlier than 6 months prior to the travel date, and seamen – 9 months prior to the travel date.
Please, note that you need to apply for a visa at least 15 calendar days prior to the intended travel date.

In exceptional cases (travels on humanitarian grounds or some professional trips) the Consulate will be accepting applications for urgent visas. Please, send request to the Consulate at cog.moscu.vis@maec.es. This service is not applicable to tourist visa.
